DESTINATION OVERVIEW

DISCOVER Nuwara Eliya

Affectionately known as “Little England”, Nuwara Eliya sits high in the misty central mountains at 1,868 meters, surrounded by Sri Lanka’s highest peak, Pidurutalagala. Rolling carpets of world-renowned Ceylon Orange Pekoe tea plantations, thundering waterfalls such as Ramboda and Lover’s Leap, and Tudor-style colonial bungalows create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the tropics.

It is one of our guests’ favorite locations for a dedicated Relaxation Day—enjoying afternoon high tea on manicured lawns, boating on Gregory Lake, touring historic working tea factories, or trekking at dawn across the cloud forests of Horton Plains National Park to World’s End.
